Having AM and PM mislabeled on this watch is pathetic, and unnecessary since this watch settles for being quartz, and quartz 24 hour/GMT movements are pretty cheap (Tmex sells quartz GMT watches for under $200).

Never underestimate the taste of the American public.

Fashion must be ugly because it changes every 6 months.

Before doing so, I researched 24-hour watches to learn about them. My first thought when I saw the “day / night” two-tone with a standard 12-hour dial was, “WTF???”

I’ve come to appreciate vintage watches, and even re-issued vintage designs. But, this thing is hideous.

The antiquing is not that convincing. Put the dial under a halogen lamp, lightly dampen the edges and graze it to add a few hairline scratches. Fifteen minutes max. Throw some cases in a box and shake them around and I’d expect more natural looking wear than the oddly uniform distribution here. Or five minutes with assorted sandpaper.

Black hands on a black dial is unconscionable. I am at a loss to understand “Brass Case Back with Custom Plating that was Made to Look Like Aged Aluminum” which is a thing here.

I’ve got two vintage pieces, and just acquired a Seiko 7002 on the cusp of being vintage, and this is what someone who has never bought vintage watches thinks vintage should look like. To add insult injury, they put a quartz movement in it.
